Adam Hogendorf has been working in the field od CNS drugs for the last couple of years.
His scientific interests span from metallorganic chemistry, through asymmetric synthesis, multicomponent reactions to neurochemistry, and neuropharmacology.
His discoveries of weakly basic serotonin receptor ligands led to the development of a first-in-class preclinical candidate for a neuropathic pain cure.

Renata Wietecha-Posluszny

Dr. habil. Renata Wietecha-Posłuszny, Prof. UJ, postdoctoral degree, Faculty of Chemistry, Jagiellonian University, Cracow, Poland, specialist in Analytical and Forensic chemistry and Forensic toxicology.
From 2015 Head of Forensic Chemistry Specialization at the Faculty of Chemistry, Jagiellonian University. She was completed MSc (in 2000) and PhD (in 2004) in advanced analytical and forensic chemistry at the Jagiellonian University in Krakow in collaboration with the Institute of Forensic Research in Krakow in Poland.
The MSc thesis was awarded by the Dr. Robel’s Award as the best work in Forensic area. She currently working as Professor in Laboratory for Forensic Chemistry at Jagiellonian University.
Her scientific interests are focused on developing modern methods of preparation and analysis of human biological materials, classical and alternative (including VH matrix, bone marrow, hair, etc.), collected by living or post-mortem.
The scope of analyses covers the detection and quantitative determination of psychoactive substances and inorganic compounds in various biological matrices. Coordinator of numerous scientific projects in Poland and abroad. She took part in national (MNS-DIAG) and international scientific projects (CITTES, TEMPUS), participant of The Eurolecturer Label Team etc. She cooperates with many forensic specialists and police experts. Vice President of the Cracovian Toxicological Society. Author of both original and review papers.

Dorota Rutkowska-Żbik

Dorota Rutkowska-Zbik is currently employed as the Associate Professor at the Jerzy Haber Institute of Catalysis and Surface Chemistry, Polish Academy of Sciences (Krakow, Poland) where she leads “Heterogeneous catalysis: theory and experiment” group.
She obtained MSc degree from the Jagiellonian University (Krakow, Poland) in 2000 and PhD in physical and theoretical chemistry from the Institute of Catalysis and Surface Chemistry, Polish Academy of Sciences (Krakow, Poland) in 2005.
After graduation, she held a visiting post-doctoral fellow position at the Theoretical Chemistry Department at the Lund University (Lund, Sweden).
Her scientific interests cover computational chemistry for catalysis and bio-inorganic chemistry, in particular elucidation of reaction mechanisms and kinetic studies.
Her research is focused on (i) activation of small molecules (O2, CO2, CH4); (ii) selective oxidation of light alkanes; (iii) valorization of biomass-derived products (furfural, glycerol). She is interested in transition metal – based systems: complexes, nanoclusters, and recently, metal-loaded zeolitic materials.
